Computing Services
LLC (also referred to as Halcyon) is committed to providing Aegis
Security
Suite subscribers with a safe and secure backup system. The Privacy
Policy is a
formal statement of that goal.
Use of Halcyon’s Aegis backup
service(s) by a subscriber constitutes an unconditional acceptance of
and
agreement to Halcyon’s Privacy Policy. Halcyon reserves the right to
change or
modify the Privacy Policy at any time without notice.
I. Data Storage Rights
Subscribers
may not store
data on Halcyon servers that violates any applicable local, state, or
federal
law. This prohibition includes, but is not limited to, data held in
violation
of intellectual property law.
II.
Data Access
Halcyon
personnel will never
view or access your stored files. Your files may be scanned by
Antivirus
software, but this process is entirely automated.
III.
Personal and Credit Card Information
Halcyon
will never allow a
third party to access subscribers’ personal and credit card information.
IV.
E-Mail Usage
Halcyon
will never send
unsolicited e-mail to subscribers. Halcyon will only use e-mail to send
billing
cycle reports and to answer subscribers’ questions. Halcyon will never
request
subscribers’ personal or credit card information via e-mail.
V.
Disclosure to Law Enforcement
Both
the Terms of Service and
Privacy Policy specifically prohibit the use of our service for illegal
activities. Therefore, subscribers agree that Halcyon Computing
Services LLC
may disclose any and all subscriber information including account use,
account
contents, etc. to any law enforcement agency that requests such
information,
provided they possess the proper court-approved warrant, without
consent or
notification to the subscriber.
VI.
Account Termination Violation of
the Data Access section of the Privacy
Policy is grounds for immediate account termination.
