·         Why is a credit card required for the Aegis Security Suite evaluation?

A:    Our software does not set a hard limit for our evaluation period.  If you are about to exceed your 100MB disk space cap or 500 MB bandwidth cap, the software will ask you for if you would like to become a paying customer.  If you say yes, you will automatically be upgraded.

A:    Halcyon Computing Services charges a constant rate of $1.50 per 1 GB of disk space.  1 GB of extra bandwidth also costs $1.50.

A:    When you create your account, you will have the option to have an e-mail sent to you that details your account charges.  You can also view your previous month’s charges by clicking “Account Charges” in the Options Menu of the Aegis Security Suite.

A:    If you need to change your credit card information, click on “Billing Info” in the Options Menu.  Your new credit card will be used on your next bill.

A:    If you are the administrator of an Aegis Admin account, you can add a user to your account for only $7.50/month.  This includes another license of Aegis Gold, 1 GB disk space, and 3 GB bandwidth.

A:    As outlined in our Terms of Service, you will always be charged for the maximum amount of disk space, bandwidth, and users you have on your account during any given month.  If you remove a user during your current billing cycle, you will still be charged for that user on your next bill.  This will be the last time you will be charged for that user unless you add another user at any point in time.
