Another unique feature that is included with the Aegis Security Suite is dynamic scaling. If you allow dynamic scaling, Aegis will automatically grow with your needs and bill you accordingly. If a Real Time Backup or Scheduled Backup would cause you to exceed your disk space or bandwidth limit for the current month, Aegis will continue to backup your files with no problems. At the end of each month, you will only be charged for the maximum disk space and total bandwidth that your account used over the course of the month.

Halcyon Computing Services offers a constant rate of $2.00/month per additional 1 GB of server disk space. This is also the price for 1 GB of additional bandwidth.

For example, if you exceed your base disk space of 1 GB, your disk space cap will automatically scale up to 2 GB. Assuming that you do not exceed either of these new caps during the rest of the month, you will only be billed for 1 extra GB, or $2.00, over your version of Aegis’ base price [Aegis $14.49/Aegis Gold $17.49/Aegis Admin 21.99].
